The Faces of Life: Michael

I have not read a better letter than this, A letter where, it seems like the the sender is reading the reader's mind. He couldn't have addressed the situation better. If I was his mother, I could never hate him for what he said. You can't hate someone for being who they are. I love how he is finally coming out. They are not an abomination. They are just one of us.

He was finally coming out. It took him time, but that is also all we have in this world. He always feared his own nature. Maybe it's because of how his parents will react, how the world will take it or how he will be able to adjust from being this to this, but nothing has changed. He is still the same Michael we all know. We all just know him better now. He is all laid out. He is himself and that really matters. Our individuality is all we are. And I appreciate that so much. Don't be a pretender. You don't have to be. Gather your courage because you have the right to be who you are. That's what makes you incredible. It makes people remember you because that's you and you made a mark to them. That is how important and beautiful your individuality is. He makes the entire LGBT community proud. I wouldn't know though because I'm not part of it but I don't mind.

Being trapped is very suffocating. Let it all out. Don't fear fear. People like him shouldn't be afraid. Let them out because that is what they deserve. We are all human. They are just one of the faces of life. LGBT just shows the diversity of one's mind.

He makes the entire LGBT community proud. I wouldn't know though because I'm not part of it but I don't mind. I'm just watcher of how the world will play out. We are expanding and we will never know the world extent. The community is expanding. It all started with just L-G-B-T, and now, they go by the L-G-B-T-Q-I-A and a plus sign. Lesbian and Gay are as basic as it gets. Now, there is an I that stand for Intersex, an A for Ally or Asexual and a plus which represents the others who weren't mentioned.

This just shows how unique the world is. How unique an individual is. There are many wonders of psychology that tries to answer the questions in our heads about this but this is just how people are. We all should learn to accept them. That is the best way to help people like Michael. This depicts that we have our own views, sides and opinions on matters. That's how the LGBT started. This is us as an individual. Our individuality makes us who we are. Being gay is fine. Being gay is being happy. I'm sure all of us wants to be happy.

All I can say is that people shouldn't be who they aren't. They should be who they are because that is who they're meant to be. Pretending is never an option. If you feel lonely because we are secluded, then go and be in a place where you are happy. Let it out and if they can't accept accept you, put it in your heads that we have different view in things, so let them be.

Essence of Family Day in my Teenage Life: Last Family Day in ACT

January 25, 2020

Frankly, we all took family day for granted. I admit it and y'all should too. I thought of family day as really annoying, dragging and for some reason, pointless. Mostly because of the dance but maybe the thought of only having one out of the five other family members I have who'd rather not come made it not very exciting, but who am I to say when other people barely even gets to see their family everyday. Otherwise, I am very happy, grateful and contented with my family. They're my family and I love every inch of them of them, especially their differences. It made them exactly who they are now and made my family the best. I'm ME because of them. It might not be the best work but hey! Basically what I'm trying to say here is that I love my family and our uniqueness. You have to get through me before you even get to touch them.

Other from my actual family, I also had special people there which I spend my family day with, every year. My apparently "second family" were there to celebrate it with me. Quite interesting really. If I might say, this year is the most peaceful family day I've ever had and I loved every second of it. And also for the record, out of all the family day dances, this one is my second favorite. Mostly because they don't force you to do stuff you don't want to do and I appreciate that a lot. More than you even know so, thank you.

WE WERE THE CHAMPS AGAIN FOR THE FOURTH TIME! Let's just say that we left quite a legacy for them to live up to. It was blood, sweat and tears mixed with every single performance we had. Then of course, we left the school year with quite a bang. This is Grade 10 2019-2020 for all of you.

CAT Survival Camp 2020: Isang Mapait Pero Masayang Alala

Enero 11-12, 2020

On what planet will we  be able to fit that ring? | Photo by Emmy Julve

Wow! We look so together in this photo. <3 | Photo by Emmy Julve

Can we just sleep? | Photo by Emmy Julve

Are you clean down there?? Let's make sure you are!

Personal hygiene is a requirement for every individual. As of the generation today, people are too careless of what they are doing in a daily basis. In some cases, people doesn’t have any time to take care of themselves because they are drowning with work. Let’s start from the Male, the male reproductive system isn’t as sensitive as the female reproductive system since a woman passes menstruation. But it doesn’t mean it’s not sensitive and it’s not possible to have any diseases. A woman’s reproductive system is very sensitive and it requires responsibility since a woman is capable of giving birth and is going to carry a child for 9 months or so. But before all that, safe intercourse should be implemented and everyone should be aware of that. Around any ages, kids, teenagers and adult doesn’t give a huge deal on safe sex because it’s their definition of pleasure and passion. We should be aware that even if your husband or wife or what relationship you may have with that person, we or you don’t know that person’s history, there could be a possibility that he or she could have HIV. Everybody should be aware on how to take care of your reproductive organs because if symptoms show from the organs, there could be a possibility it already damaged your reproductive system.

There are so much global issues surrounding us and STDs (or Sexually Transmitted Diseases) are one of them. HIV or AIDs being one of the most common one. HIV is a virus that damages the immune system. The immune system helps the body fight off infections. Untreated HIV infects and kills CD4 cells, which are a type of immune cell called T cells. Over time, as HIV kills more CD4 cells, the body is more likely to get various types of infections and cancers. The virus doesn’t spread in air or water, or through casual contact but its does spread through blood, semen, vaginal and rectal fluid and breast milk.

There are 3 stages of HIV, being AIDS as the last and worst stage. Stage 1 is the acute stage and the first few weeks after transmission. Stage 2 is clinical latency, or chronic stage and stage 3 is AIDS. The treatment for HIV isn't as reliable and a guaranteed treatment but if so treatment should begin as soon as possible after a diagnosis of HIV, regardless of viral load. The main treatment for HIV is antiretroviral therapy, a combination of daily medications that stop the virus from reproducing. This helps protect CD4 cells, keeping the immune system strong enough to fight off disease. Antiretroviral therapy helps keep HIV from progressing to AIDS. It also helps reduce the risk of transmitting HIV to others.

Other than HIV, we have another STD that we should be careful in catching which is Genital Herpes. This sexually transmitted infection is caused by a virus that lives in the nerves. Herpes is a group of viruses that cause painful blisters and sores. There are two common types of herpes are  Herpes zoster which causes chickenpox and shingles and Herpes simplex virus which causes cold sores or fever blisters around the mouth and sores on the genitals (sexual organs). Once you are infected, you have the virus for the rest of your life.

Many people who get herpes never have symptoms. Sometimes the symptoms are mild and are mistaken for another skin condition. If you experience symptoms, they may include painful sores in the genital area, anus, buttocks, or thighs, itching, painful urination, vaginal discharge and tender lumps in the groin. The virus that causes genital herpes is usually spread from one person to another during vaginal, oral, or anal sex. The virus can enter your body through a break in your skin. It can also enter through the skin of your mouth, penis, vagina, urinary tract opening, or anus. Herpes is most easily spread when blisters or sores can be seen on the infected person. But it can be spread at any time, even when the person who has herpes isn’t experiencing any symptoms. Herpes can also be spread from one place on your body to another. If you touch sores on your genitals, you can carry the virus on your fingers. Then you can pass it onto other parts of your body, including your mouth or eyes. Keep in mind that herpes is very common. About 1 in 6 adults have it. Herpes may get less severe as time goes by. You can help protect your sex partner by not having sex during outbreaks and by using condoms at other times. Always be safe.

STDs can affect both genders but there are also diseases, infections and cancers that are specifically for girls and for boys as well. For the girls, we have to be aware of the Ovarian Cancer. Ovarian cancer is when abnormal cells in the ovary begin to multiply out of control and form a tumor. Ovarian cancer often has warning signs, but the earliest symptoms are vague and easy to dismiss. Twenty percent of ovarian cancers are detected at an early stage. The early symptoms include abdominal bloating, pressure, and pain, abnormal fullness after eating, difficulty eating, an increase in urination and an increased urge to urinate. There are already several treatments and the treatment depends on how far the cancer has spread. A team of doctors will determine a treatment plan depending on your situation. It includes chemotherapy, radiation, surgery to stage the cancer and remove the tumor, targeted therapy and hormone therapy.

Another problem that could possible occur to the females reading this right now is the Cervical Cancer because of how common it it. Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cell of a cervix wherein it grows abnormally and invade other tissues and organs in the body – the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. This can also affect the entrance to the womb. When it gets invasive this cancer will affect the deeper tissues of the cervix and possible spread to the other parts of the body namely lungs, liver, bladder vagina and rectum. There are two types of cervical cancer namely Squamous cell carcinoma which begins in the thin, flat cells (squamous cell) lining the outher part of the cervix, which projects into the vagina. The other one is Adenocarcinoma begins in column-shaped glandular cells that line the cervical canal. HPV, human papillomavirus is a viral infection that's passed between people through skin-to-skin contact plays a role as causing most cervical cancer since it’s a sexually transmitted infection.

This begins when healthy cells in a cervix develop changes in their DNA. As the process, healthy cells grow and multiply at a set rate and eventually dying at a set time. The changes or the mutations makes the cell grow and multiply uncontrollably and they don’t die. Cancer cells then invade tissues and can break off from a tumor to spread metastasize elsewhere in the body. In additional, early sexual contact, multiple sexual partners and taking oral contraceptives (birth control pills) increase the risk of cervical cancer because they lead to greater exposure to HPV. These includes risk factors wherein you’re bleeding between periods, bleeding after sexual intercourse, a weakened immune system, smoking, exposure to miscarriage prevention drug, bleeding in post-menopausal, discomfort during sexual intercourse, vaginal discharge with a strong odor, vaginal discharge tinged with blood, socio-economic status and pelvic pain. To prevent this, ask your doctor about the HPV vaccine. It may reduce your risk cervical cancer and other HPV- related cancers. Have routine Pap test, it can detect precancerous conditions of the cervix, so they can be monitored or treated in order to prevent cervical cancer. Practice safe sex, reduce your risk of cervical cancer by taking measures to prevent sexually transmitted infections, such as using condom every time you have sex and limiting the number of sexual partners you have.

For the Male Reproductive System, one of the diseases is the Prostate Cancer. Prostate cancer is cancer that occurs in the prostate — a small walnut-shaped gland in men that produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm. Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in men. Usually prostate cancer grows slowly and is initially confined to the prostate gland, where it may not cause serious harm. However, while some types of prostate cancer grow slowly and may need minimal or even no treatment, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly. Prostate cancer may cause no signs or symptoms in its early stages but if it does, the symptoms are troubles urinating, decreased force in the stream of urine, blood in semen, discomfort in the pelvic area, bone pain and erectile dysfunction. Prostate cancer has more advanced may cause signs and symptoms and the symptoms seem to be strong and difficult types of symptoms.

Doctors know that prostate cancer begins when some cells in your prostate become abnormal. For the treatments, here are the possible treatments. Active surveillance, Chemotherapy, Hormone therapy, Immunotherapy, Radiation therapy and Surgery to remove the tumor.

Last but not the least of the medical issues we'll be tackling about today is the Testicular Tumors for the guys.Testicular cancer occurs in the testicles (testes), which are located inside the scrotum, a loose bag of skin underneath the penis. The testicles produce male sex hormones and sperm for reproduction. Compared with other types of cancer, testicular cancer is rare. But testicular cancer is the most common cancer in American males between the ages of 15 and 35. This cancer usually affects only one testicle. The Signs and symptoms of testicular cancer is a lump or enlargement in either testicle, a feeling of heaviness in the scrotum, a dull ache in the abdomen or groin, a sudden collection of fluid in the scrotum, pain or discomfort in a testicle or the scrotum, enlargement or tenderness of the breasts and lastly is back pain. t's not clear what causes testicular cancer in most cases.

Doctors know that testicular cancer occurs when healthy cells in a testicle become altered. Healthy cells grow and divide in an orderly way to keep your body functioning normally. But sometimes some cells develop abnormalities, causing this growth to get out of control — these cancer cells continue dividing even when new cells aren't needed. The accumulating cells form a mass in the testicle. Nearly all testicular cancers begin in the germ cells — the cells in the testicles that produce immature sperm. What causes germ cells to become abnormal and develop into cancer isn't known.

From the several issues we talked about, it can be quite alarming. By simply taking care of your self, you will be free from such. Take your time and save the photos up there, for it to remind yourself that the greater good will come if you look out for yourself. Especially the one below because they will be the constant reminder and they are also not just for your reproductive system but your entire body. Always get yourself checked. Be safe and always look out for yourself.

Bakit Nanghuhusga Ang Mga Tao sa Kapwa?

JUDGEMENT | DELTA ENDURING TAROT
Judgement | Delta  Enduring Tarot

Image result for judged by face"
What does Different even mean?

Morality quotes that will help you make proper actions
Morality By Helen Keller

You can make a difference: Just open your eyes

‘We don’t see the world as it is. We see the world as we are.’

Brewed In Confusion

Brewed In Confusion by jcogtas
I am a mystery to myself. People may not be able to say the same for me but I guess they know better. People wonder about me, trying to see see through me and they claim that they succeed but I can say otherwise. I wonder about the same thing just as much as everyone. It's not that I'm claiming that most people always think of me but when they do, we both are in deep. I'm confused and a stranger to my own self. With the people that surrounds me, brewed in confusion. I'm in the same hole as everyone trying to swim out of it but either way, I'll stay here and continue to try.

With the thought if someone can possibly not know who they are, I completely agree. Our minds are just filled with questions we can't seem to answer.

Being confused is normal. It happens to us most of the time but when it happens constantly about things that you should be certain about, its makes you ask the question "Why do we get confused". The philosophy behind confusion is that confusion is necessary in the process of learning. If you are never confused, there is no incentive to do anything other than what you already know. There is no grounds for curiosity, no opening for discussion, nothing except a kind of authoritative dictum in which nothing ever really changes. Does that mean our confusion towards everything is completely normal?  We all know that confusion doesn’t feel good. The human brain is a pattern-recognition machine. It evolved to identify related events or artifacts and connect them into a meaningful whole. This capacity serves us well in many of our endeavors, from recognizing the underlying themes in literature, to understanding the deep structure of a scientific or mathematical problem, to anticipating hidden complications and seeing their solutions in our work. Every time we  get confused, we get to learn something from seeking answers for our confusion. It get tiring, I know but every time we answer a question in our heads, we are a step closer to the answer of our existence. It's incredible how we still need to be in agony to reach ecstasy but if you don't sow, you don't reap.

People say they  know me very well and all I can say is that "Good for you!".  It's cool how they know me better than I do. My confusion is as deep as the ocean and people think they can swim right out of it. The only difference with this quote and my situation is that, I tend to find the answer and solution all by myself. I don't believe that we need companions in every step we take in life. I want that on that very step it will be me and only me on there. It sounds completely selfish but this is my milestone and I want to be the one who gets claim it. It's my problem, let me solve it myself. I don't plan to involve other people in such. I believe that it is only in solitude that a person can see deeply his/her inner self, potentials, limitations and weaknesses. One learns to rise from where he/she has fallen when isolated. I guess you can consider me a bit of an introvert but I enjoy it like that, plus the fact that I'm also a melancholic makes me really wanna do things myself because of my perfectionism. If you want things to get done right, do it yourself. I want to claim that victory myself.  I don't want other people saying that they found me when it was all me. I want to be the victor of my own life.

This quotation states that I don't have similar understanding of myself like other people do. If you are perplexed because of me, then I'm perplexed because of me too. We both are in the same hole and we can't seem to swim right of it. I'm just as deep down as a everyone. Everyone is confused because of me and no one seems to be able to answer that quickly but even in the midst of confusion, I will be staying in this world with everyone else, square or a rectangle, trying to find me. That's the only certainty in my mind.

In the popular culture, I'm sure other teenager are just as confused as me. We just don't know anything about life anymore. This personality is not unique. It is a mental crisis and all of the symptoms are kinda similar to what the quote is actually tackling about. Identity crisis' are common between teenagers.  An Identity Crisis is a period of uncertainty and confusion in which a person's sense of identity becomes insecure, typically due to a change in their expected aims or role in society. An Identity Crisis makes you question your identity. You get to experience great personal conflict due to the questioning of who you are or your role in society. Mostly when big changes have recently occurred that have affected your sense of self. You’ll be questioning things such as your values, spirituality, beliefs, interests, or career path that have a major impact on how you see yourself.  And lastly, being in search of your meaning, reason, or your passion in life. It’s completely normal to question who you are, especially since we change throughout our lives. However, when it begins to affect your daily thinking or functioning, you may be having an identity crisis.

That's life. It's perplexing. It's puzzling. It's confusing but what can we do other than make the most of it? It's crazy in this world. The only thing I would do differently  is where I would find my way on my own because I always saw life better like that. I prefer it that way. In the steams of confusion, make it an approach for you to pursue knowledge in a way. See the light in the darkness life has brought to us. It will make a better view of the agony we have always lived in.

The Trojan Horse: An Echo

The Trojan Horse from the film Malta Gladiator Gladiator

The Wooden Horse. The Trojan Horse. The Victory Weapon of the Spartans. The only reason why we know who the victor is from 10 year Trojan War.

In the tenth year of the Trojan War, despairing at their inability to take the city by storm, the Greeks resorted to a cunning little stratagem.  The central part of the plan devised by who else but Odysseus included the construction of an enormous wooden horse. Almost everybody knows why it had been built and who lay hidden inside the hollow belly of the statue.  Once the Wooden Horse had been built, Odysseus proceeded to persuade the bravest and the most skillful of the Greek warriors present at Troy to climb, fully armed, into its belly. Some say that there were 23 of them, while others speculate with numbers between 30 and 50. Either way, one thing is for sure, it's one big horse.

It's bizarre how they didn't suspect such kindness from the enemies. If I were the Troys, I probably would have. We even question random gifts from strangers, how much more if it's from the enemies of 10 year battle. There will always be an ulterior motive. People always want something in return. They just don't randomly do good stuff for people. It's very debatable but for sure, it's not just me. They want to make you feel like you owe them something because in that way, it makes it easier for them to ask you favors. But besides the idea, it's cool how Odysseus thought of such strategy. After all, it is the winning strategy.

The point of such strategy is that, things and people aren't what they seem. There will be a greater or lesser story to everything. Don't trust easily. It will result to such destruction. Don't be a fool the Troys were but be as wise as the Spartans.
